China CPE Series Chlorinated Polyethylene Resin - Quality Suppliers and Factory for PVC and Rubber Applications

Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) is a high molecular polymer derived from HDPE through a chlorination process. This unique molecular structure imparts exceptional physical and chemical properties to CPE, making it an essential material in various applications, including PVC, engineering plastics (CPE resin series), and rubber products (CM Rubber series), As a leading impact modifier in the global plastics market, CPE is extensively utilized in the processing of PVC extrusion and injection molding products. This includes rigid PVC profiles, pipes, fittings, sheets, and panels. By incorporating CPE, manufacturers can significantly enhance the impact strength of rigid PVC products while providing outstanding low-temperature performance and excellent weather resistance. Additionally, some customers in China leverage CPE in formulations for PE or PP plastic products in precise proportions, As a trusted supplier and factory of Chlorinated Polyethylene, we are committed to delivering high-quality CPE materials tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients in the plastics industry

    Product application

Excellent Impact modifier for rigid and semi-flexible PVC products
FINE CPE can not only greatly enhance the impact modification performance, In particular low-temperature performances, weather-ability for soft PVC product but also give a higher welding strength of the final products and promote the rapid plasticization of PVC.
    Used for soft PVC products
The special molecular structure makes FINE CPE series can be used directly for soft PVC products as a elastomer and give the fine products a superior weather-ability and better service life.
    Flame Retardant ABS application
With its excellent flame retardancy and fluidity, FINE CPE can replace some plasticizers as permanent plasticizers for some PVC products and will not get migrated and volatilized even at high processing or service temperature.
Addition of certain percentage of FINE CPE into flame retardant ABS formulation will not only avoid using of big amount of inorganic flame retardants in the formulation, which causes physical performance lost, but also will play positive role in enhancing the flame retardancy of the whole system and substantially improve the impact strength of the end product by its High impact modification performance, high filling efficiency.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q What is Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) and how is it used?
Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) is a cost-effective thermoplastic elastomer produced by chlorinating high-density polyethylene. It is widely used as an impact modifier to improve the impact strength, low-temperature toughness, and weatherability of rigid and semi-flexible PVC, ABS, and other polymer products.
Q How does CPE compare with other impact modifiers like AIM, MBS, and ABS?
CPE is highly competitive in both price and comprehensive performance. It offers excellent flame retardancy, chemical resistance, and superior weatherability compared to MBS and ABS, and provides a highly cost-effective alternative to Acrylic Impact Modifiers (AIM).
Q Can CPE replace Acrylic Impact Modifiers (AIM) in PVC formulations?
Yes, CPE is suitable for direct substitution or blending with Acrylic Impact Modifiers (AIM) at specific percentages. This can be achieved without adjusting the processing data or formulation, providing an optimal and cost-effective performance solution.
Q What are the key benefits of adding CPE to flame retardant ABS?
Adding CPE to flame retardant ABS improves the overall flame retardancy and fluidity of the system. It helps avoid using excessive inorganic flame retardants (which degrade physical properties) and substantially enhances the impact strength of the finished product.
Q Which CPE grade is suitable for translucent PVC products?
CPE grades with higher chlorine content, such as CPE 3100 and CPE 3200, offer the best transparency and compatibility with PVC, making them ideal for translucent PVC applications. CPE 3080 can also replace MBS as an impact modifier for translucent PVC.
Q Are there equivalent CPE grades to Dow Tyrin series?
Yes, FINE offers perfect equivalent grades for classic types from the Dow-Tyrin series as well as other major brands. For specific comparisons and technical data sheets, please contact info@fine-additive.com.
